7 Cities Conference on Housing and Homelessness

7 cities meets regularly to support the advancement of each other’s plans, resolve significant issues or challenges and provide a forum for regular dialogue with government partners. In addition, 7 cities has played a lead role in organizing conferences and workshops to build the capacity of communities across Alberta to end homelessness. Through participation at national and international events members of 7 cities have both advanced our province’s exposure to best practices and been able to share the incredible success of the Province’s 10 year plans with other jurisdictions. ​​

Welcome to the 2018 7 Cities Housing First Conference! This conference is an annual gathering that celebrates the achievements made in our efforts to end homelessness in the province of Alberta. This conference is an opportunity for Housing First practitioners, as well as leaders in the sector, to assemble, create dialogue, and collaboratively focus our efforts on being as effective and efficient as possible to end homelessness in our communities.

Conference Overview and Theme:

The 7 Cities Conference on Housing First and Homelessness is a place where practitioners, government, academia, and interested community members assemble, create dialogue, and collaboratively focus our efforts to end homelessness. This years' conference theme is A Decade of Progress, a Lifetime of Change. 

Location:

We are excited to announce that this years conference will be held at the Sheraton Red Deer Hotel from June 11-13, 2018 in Red Deer, Alberta. Please ensure you book your hotel at the time of registration. Please join us Monday evening from 7:00-9:00 pm for a come and go evening - an opportunity to connect with other conference attendees and network. A casual evening of appetizers and drinks (cash bar) before the conference kicks off Tuesday morning.​
