This report details the findings of an ethnographic study on the Central East Housing and Homelessness Steering Committee, comprised of members from the Central East Local Health Integration Network (CE-LHIN) and representatives of Service Managers (SMs) from the Regional Municipality of Durham, City of Kawartha Lakes, County of Northumberland, and City of Peterborough.
The report is divided into five sections: (1) Introduction and Background, (2) Historical and Legislative Context, (3) The Ten-Year Housing and Homelessness Plans, (4) the Housing and Homelessness Steering Committee, and (5) Key Learnings and Take-Away Messages. Following the report is a toolkit resource for other existing or future groups of this nature.
The toolkit includes three components: (1) the committee’s jointly created guiding principles and key terms document, (2) sample meeting agenda, and (3) a list of questions and issues for groups to consider.
