Call for submissions to the Canadian Poverty Hub

The Canadian Poverty Institute and the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness are pleased to announce the launch of the Canadian Poverty Hub. The Poverty Hub will be an online repository of relevant research with respect to the causes and impacts of poverty, as well as policies and best practices in poverty prevention and reduction. The Poverty Hub will be integrated with the existing Homeless Hub to provide a searchable database for researchers, practitioners and government policy officials to access current research on a range of poverty related issues.

As an important contributor to poverty research and the effort to eradicate poverty in Canada, we invite you to submit relevant research and related reports for inclusion in the Poverty Hub. We are interested in information that contributes to our understanding of a broad range of poverty-related issues. Submissions may include:

The Canadian Poverty Institute is an inter-disciplinary research and training institute based at Ambrose University in Calgary, Alberta. The Institute works with governments, universities and non-profit organizations to provide opportunities for faculty, students and practitioners to learn, to research issues of concern and seek solutions. Established in 2014, it is the only national academic institute dedicated to the elimination of poverty in Canada.

The Canadian Observatory on Homelessness is a non-profit, non-partisan research institute that is committed to conducting and mobilizing research so as to contribute to solutions to homelessness. We work together as a group of researchers, service providers, policy and decision makers, people with lived experience of homelessness as well as graduate and undergraduate students from across Canada with a passion for social justice issues and a desire to solve homelessness in our communities.
