This research bulletin is a summary of a literature review on the connections between family violence and homelessness. Rates of family violence are very high and more prevalent in the histories of homeless people than among the non-homeless. This association is strong enough that some researchers have concluded that family violence is a major cause of homelessness.(exerpt of abstract from CUCS Research Bulletin page)
