Canada's municipalities are on the front lines of the battle against homelessness and I can't think of a better group to meet with and discuss how we can win this battle than people like you who are working with the problem at the local level. Homelessness is something that Canadians have identified as one of their major concerns. And well it should be. We see it in municipalities all across the country. This issue of people who are homeless is not complicated. For me it is a people problem. It is front and centre in our minds. So many of us focus on it everyday. But concern for homeless people has to be in our hearts too. That's the way I come to this issue.
