Contributions are raised from a variety of organisations, primarily RSLs and associated organisations in the UK Social Housing Sector. These contributions must be significant in value, and are required for a term of 10 years. Contributions are used to directly lend to partner NGOs for housing and related infrastructure projects. Once the loan has been repaid in full by the partner NGO, Contributions can be returned to Contributors, reinvested for a further term, or donated to the Africa Bond as a fixed Contribution. Contributors can receive an annual return of 3%; though have the option of waiving this to help cover the costs of operating and further developing the Africa Bond.
