The City of Toronto in partnership with the Centre for Research on Inner City Health at St. Michael’s Hospital (CRICH), has been selected to undertake a four-year, approximately $22.5 million research demonstration project, under a national program of the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC), to examine and document the benefits of certain service models on the health and well being of mentally ill homeless individuals. This report provides information on the project and requests certain authorities be granted to permit Shelter, Support and Housing Administration to proceed with implementation of the demonstration project.
