Out in the Cold 2017 Homelessness Survey, Fraser Valley, B.C.

This 2017 report on homelessness in the Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) documents the process and findings, with analysis, of a 24-hour point-in-time survey conducted March 7 and 8, 2017 in the communities of Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Agassiz–Harrison, Hope, and Boston Bar.

In the context of this survey, homeless persons are defined as persons with no fixed address, with no regular and/or adequate nighttime residence where they can expect to stay for more than 30 days.

606 persons were found to be homeless, which represents a 75% increase over the 346 persons interviewed in 2014 who were living homeless.
