This research highlight focuses on the levels and geographic distribution of poverty in Winnipeg. Using the 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996 and 2001 data the figures reveal the dynamics of change in poverty in Winnipeg including changes in the depth and geographic distribution. Winnipeg neighbourhoods are the basis of analysis and this permits an analysis of change in both suburban and inner-city areas.
