What Does It Take to Get Something Done?

My wife and I were at an elegant dinner party on the upper west side of Manhattan on a cold, clear wintry Saturday night when the conversation shifted to the homeless men sleeping on the steps of a church nearby. It was no surprise since our hosts and others there knew we both worked to improve the lot of the homeless in NYC. My wife through her work with supported housing and homeless prevention and outreach and because I had worked for NYC government in the Bloomberg administration.
