Co-located Services

Co-located Services

Col-location refers to the practice of housing services in a single location to improve service access and communication/collaboration between service providers. Co-locating services (e.g., Hubs, Foyers, and Centres) does not necessarily lead to increased coordination among organizations or collaboration/cooperation among service providers. Relationship-building opportunities and inter-professional planning are required in order for co-located services to lead to collaboration between professionals and service coordination. After co-locating services, service providers then need to actively build pathways for service coordination and ongoing collaboration.
