The Community Homelessness Report (CHR) is an annual Reaching Home reporting deliverable that supports communities to prevent and reduce homelessness. Our report from the Region of Waterloo highlights the work we’ve been doing as a community to implement a coordinated, systems-based, and data-driven response to addressing the challenge of people experiencing homelessness in our community. In it, we speak to the new permanent housing options we’ve implemented, the strategies we’ve pursued to support individuals experiencing homelessness, as well as the strong partnerships we’ve worked to develop and rely on to support our community. We also speak to the data our community has about people experiencing homelessness, the trends in that data, and how that has informed system planning. The CHR is an opportunity to reflect on the work our community has achieved over the past year, the need that remains, as well as where opportunities might lie to help us achieve our goal of ending homelessness in our community.
