These documents detail how the Community of Schools and Services (COSS) Model has featured in recent Australian homelessness policy discourse.
The COSS Model is an evidence-based place-based collective impact approach for preventing youth homelessness and other cognate issues. It represents a system-changing approach that is gathering support amongst youth and family agencies and schools where workers and teachers aspire to achieve significantly better outcomes for the most vulnerable young people. The COSS Model is a complex innovation; however, trials have demonstrated what can be achieved when communities collectively focus on measurably redressing a social problem such as youth homelessness.
