In 2013, Saskatoon adopted a new strategy to deal with homelessness. Fundamental to this strategy is a belief that ending homelessness is possible: when fully implemented, a person who falls into homelessness will be able to rely on a system that will help move them into permanent housing within seven days. Stable, safe housing is a basic need for every human being and the foundation for building a strong community for all residents. This plan is grounded in the belief that every resident strengthens our community’s social and economic development and deserves the opportunity to thrive.
