It has profiles of the absolute homeless and descriptions of policies relevant to the homeless in Ontario, Quebec, and Alberta. Profile information includes an overview of each province as a whole and data on homeless populations in major cities (Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Calgary, Edmonton). Characteristics profiled include numbers of homeless, gender, age, family status, use of shelters, and health status. Policies relate to such matters as deinstitutionalization, housing, social services, discharge from correctional facilities, and emergency shelters.
