Racism, Sexism, and Colonialism: The Impact on the Health of Aboriginal Women in Canada

This article suggests that contemporary practice and politics which effect Aboriginal women generates risks for their health. It is demonstrated that the definition of "Indian" imposed by colonialist legislation in Canada constitutes multiple oppressions that disposses Aboriginal women from their power, raising their health risks.
