Implementing Indigenous Youth Peer Mentorship: Insights from the By Youth For Youth Project

This study found that peer mentorship positions can be a useful avenue for Indigenous youth experiencing homelessness. These positions provide them with a paid avenue to engage in advocacy and support others with similar experiences as them, while simultaneously increasing their cultural connectedness and ability to advocate for their own needs. The article also provides important considerations for organizations looking to implement Indigenous youth peer mentorship positions.
