Health and wellness of these communities steadily grow worse, productivity is low, and many are systematically forced into homelessness. The challenge is daunting, but not insurmountable. With an informed, strategically structured, and unified approach, there is a way forward to meet the challenge of providing housing to Nunavummiut.
This report assesses the housing crises in Nunavut and its impact on everyday people. It examines how employment, health, and economic growth have all been impacted by lack of housing. It also paves the way for a realistic solution to the territory’s housing problems.
