On November 21, 2012, 41 sheltering organizations in Alberta participated in the ACWS' annual Alberta Data Count. That day, these shelters assisted 1281 women and 1481 children. Because of a lack of resources, they were unable to assist 90 women and 63 children. The report also looks at the major challenges that Alberta shelters face.
