The Honourable Monte Solberg, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, was pleased today to visit two Saint John shelters, which have received funding through the federal government’s Homelessness Partnering Strategy (HPS). This funding will ensure that support is provided to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. “Our government is committed to helping Canadians who have hit tough times get the support they need to get back on their feet,” said Minister Solberg. “Today, I am pleased to celebrate funding that will provide important services and support to young mothers at First Step Housing, as well as to men at the Salvation Army shelter.”
