This report highlights significant findings on youth homelessness in Canada, based on data collected during the 2020-2022 Nationally Coordinated Point-in-Time (PiT) Counts. Youth homelessness differs from adult homelessness in its causes, impacts, and the necessary interventions. Many young people who face homelessness have a history of experiences and exposures that hinder their ability to secure safe and stable housing as they grow older, making it crucial to understand the root causes and effects of youth homelessness.
