The Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Amendments Act of 1990 (Public Law 101-645) authorized the creation of the Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH) formula grant program. As a condition of receipt of PATH formula grant funds, states and territories are required to submit annual reports describing the activities supported under the program. This report contains the data submitted by the states and territories for federal fiscal years 1991 and 1992. The report identifies several key features of the PATH program including: PATH involves a broad range of service providers in the delivery of care; PATH providers offer a wide range of critical services; and PATH providers serve significant numbers of people who are homeless and have serious mental illnesses. The report includes tables containing demographic information, numbers of clients served in each state or territory, as well as information on their housing and mental health status (author).
