Prevention and Control of Tuberculosis in U.S. Communities with At-Risk Minority Populations and Prevention and Control of Tuberculosis Among Homeless Persons

This document is a blueprint for agencies and organizations that work together to plan, develop, and implement effective strategies to eliminate tuberculosis (TB) within the homeless population and at-risk racial/ethnic minority population groups, as well as in geographic areas with high rates of the disease. The Advisory Council for the Elimination of Tuberculosis urges that resources be directed to areas where the disease has shifted into clearly identifiable geographic enclaves, and where the disease disproportionately affects socioeconomically disadvantaged racial/ethnic minorities (authors).
