This book deals with one of the most serious problems of our time: teens running away from home and the danger of living on the streets that comes along with this decision. The author writes based on his own experiences as a runaway at the age of fifteen. His story is about months of hunger, homelessness and about what runaways do to survive. The author devotes the last four chapters of this book to be used as a guide, whether you are a teen, a runaway, a parent, or just someone who wants to help. Within the last four chapters there is also a resource section which tells where to look for help – from toll free youth crises lines and shelter networks, to books and organizations that can aid those in their quest for solutions. It should also be noted that half of the profits from this book will be used to establish the first-ever college scholarship fund for runaways by the author.
